ABOUT ABOUT

Border Crossings is crossing Medical Boundaries!

Medical care - as part of larger Culture - is grounded in a society's ethics, values, and traditions. Dr. Bekir Karabucak DMD, MS will help us understand how that affects dental access, care, and training in countries such as Saudi Arabia and China. We invite you to join us at this special Border Crossings, in conjunction with the 2019 Global Philly Expo.

We'll explore medical traditions and training from the inside, and explore why the coffee break is so important in Saudi Arabia!

Come out for this casual conversation with cocktails and light snacks - included with your ticket, and expand your horizons on cultural border crossings.

Dr. Karabucak is Chair, Associate Professor of Endodontics, and Director of the Postdoctoral Endodontics Program at University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He is involved with endodontic courses/seminars in pre- and postdoctoral programs. He also runs selective microscope training courses for predoctoral students.

Dr. "K" has also been the attending endodontist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia since 2005 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He has lectured at national and international conferences and also serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Endodontics.

Join Dr. K in the salon at Space & Company, for discussion, and drinks.
