Announcing the 2021 Explorer of the Year, Taylor Demonbreun: Traveler, and Four Guinness World Records Recipient
Join us on June 3rd, 2021 at 6:00 PM, as we celebrate our 130-year legacy in honoring Taylor as our 129th Explorer. Let's raise a glass to reconnect in person, meeting old and new friends, and celebrating Taylor and the world travel!
She did it! On December 7, 2018, Taylor Demonbreun set foot in Canada, the 196th stop of her journey.
Taylor now holds four Guinness World Records: the Youngest to visit all sovereign countries, both overall and female, as well as the Fastest to visit all sovereign countries, both overall and female.
She was 24 years and 48 days old when she completed, and the entire trek took her one year and 189 days.
Enjoy an international menu reception, a presentation, and an interview with Taylor, at "Terrace" – an outdoor venue with a great view of the Avenue of the Arts, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City.
Taylor will help us understand what made you set out to accomplish these records, the difficulties she had to face along the way, and the advice she would give to young explorers hoping to break records one day.
In earning our Explorer of the Year title, Taylor Demonbreun joins such luminaries as Theodore Roosevelt, John Glenn, Diana Nyad, and last year’s honoree, Steve McCurry.
International Menu with displayed Hors d‘Oeuvres, Cash Bar w/discount drinks, complimentary coffee/tea. Discount Parking available.
Currently, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City is following the City of Philadelphia Department of Health's COVID-19 guidelines.
